Telecommunications Operational Guideline 2016-1

Telecommunications Operators (TCO) and owners of radio facilities are reminded that all radio facilities must be operated, within the technical and geographical parameters as described on RADIO FACILITY INSPECTION AND OFFER FOR USE FORM (ANSC 7004), as approved. These parameters pertain to all Fixed Land HF stations, Fixed Land VHF stations, and VHF Repeaters that are restricted to operating under orders, from fixed locations as defined by the Latitude/Longitude, recorded on their approved ANSC 7004 form.

Mobile and Transportable radio facilities are normally restricted to operating under orders and within the geographical boundaries of their home Sector, and areas of responsibility patrolled by the USCG. Additionally, the Auxiliary may receive orders to conduct activities in areas such as Rivers and other inland waterways. These orders are issued by their home Sector.

Any exceptions to operations outside of the area described in the 7004 form, must receive prior approval from CG Spectrum Management. The Frequency Authorization Request Form, CG-6086 will be completed and submitted via the DSO-CM to the DVC-RT for final consideration by CG Spectrum Management. Requests for exception must be submitted 30-45 days prior to an event.
